Paper is usually used as a medium for writing, drawing or painting. In the paper arrangements of the series »Lose Blätter« (2023-2025), the paper itself is the focus of attention: the ‘loose sheets’ are hand-cut, colour-intensive paper forms that Jürgen Sobkowiak arranges on equally colourful backgrounds - all layered next to and on top of each other. In these temporary arrangements, the artist deals solely with colours and simple paper forms in the photographic image space. The series is still in the development phase and currently comprises 19 works.
