»Word in Picture« is an international competition that annually honours ten photographs from around the world that were inspired by a literary work. It is a contest that focuses on the exploration of (visual) language(s) and leads to a variety of interactions between the arts and new perceptions. To mark the tenth anniversary of »Wort im Bild«, the competition's initiator has put together a book that is inspiring in many ways, featuring the winning photos of all 100 prizewinners, including many well-known photographers.
